2010 is definitely the year of alice...with tim burton's adaptation of the 1865 lewis carrol novel on the way (avec johnny depp , helena bonham carter , anne hathaway and stephen fry amoung the cast) , everyone has caught important-date fever...stella mccartney is on board with disney designing alice inspired jewellery with swarovski crystals...rabbits, Mad Hatter hats,spades , hearts , will be available in necklace and bracelets come march for a limited time only...the runways are enjoying the wonderland in pastel shades and floral designs (see chanel , christopher kane and the incredible number by louise goldin below) as well as whitney port's eve collection - epitomising alice through and through..add to this the tea party / cupcake phenomenon erupting everywhere from notting hill to templebar...the hummingbird in london is a one stop sugar stop and queen of tarts in dublin has warm rasberry and bluebeery scones and jam to warm any heart... put on some yeah yeah yeah's 'heads will roll' and it's down the rabbit hole you go!
