i was wondering what the giant picture of a boy was doing plastered to the front of trinity college and after some google-ing i found out it was all part of dublin contemporary, an exhibition taking place for 3 more weeks at the national concertt hall...the exhibition features 114 irish and international artists as well as loads of free workshops, talks and a pop-up shop full of a dublin collective of artists' wares all under the theme of terrible beauty—art, crisis, change & the office of non-compliance....
natasha - shop manager and the best guide to the artists i could have asked for !
i popped along last weekend to check it out and was genuinly wowed by the exhibition not to mention the totes in the shop (i had to buy one 0 jewellery and the free re-dress workshop that was taking place there too...if you ahve any time over the next 3 weeks this is well worth a visit...it's really inspiring to see so many irish artists creating such great work and the exhibition is an invaluable platform for them - i found so many irish artists that i will be following up on who i otherwise would never had known existed !
re-dess workshop
