happy halloween everyone ! however you are spending your hallows eve, i hope you'll get into the spirit of the day...it's really a great excuse to get all dressed up or stay in watching something terrifying..hitchcock will always be the original spook and he did it in such a glamorous way too...from grace kelly in rear window and tippi hedrin in the birds , a hitchcock heroine is always well groomed and accessorised..so i've styled 2 of the leading ladies in modern looks - a kind of 'what would they wear now'...happy halloween everyone xo!

grace's look in rear window is very feminine and dolce & gabbana's f/w '12 collection captured that 50's housewife glamour perfectly..a modern day lisa in rear window would definitely toughen up the look with accessories; a man's watch and quirky sunglasses complete with a deep green bag will juxtapose the soft chiffon dress and feminine silhouette...

tippi is a picture of perfection from her hair to her kitten heels throughout the birds until the moment of panic when the birds attack and her coiffed hair comes undone... a modern melanie would be perfect in rodarte's sharp shouldered dress ; she's tough and does'nt spook easily...cut outs allow for a quick get away and miu miu shades add a retro feel to the modern look..
