Coco Chanel
living in a small rural town in southern ireland has it's pros and cons as with any place...it makes you appreciate fashion and style wherever it pops up , more often than not unexpectedly; .in our town there has been a source of fashion for 18 years now in the shape of moda - a designer boutique and, now, in house cafe...
moda stocks brands like religion, avoca, vivienne westwood, saint tropez...the range of designer clothes and jewellery are unparalleled in the area and the store is a hot bed of unique and fashion forward pieces, giving locals the chance to sport some of the most unique and decadent pieces on the market.
in november, moda opened its cafe upstairs in antwerp inspired decor...cupcakes, warm scones and jam, herbal teas, toasted bagels, selection of caffeines and quiches (all homemade) are food fare and pocket fair and offer a different coffee shop experience, with billie holiday and ray lamontagne crooning as you dine...
the woman behind all of this ? caroline's success lies in her experience and passion...after winning a job in dublin based couturier ages 18, she spent her years working in london's sloane street and europe for several fashion distributors before returning to ireland to set up home and shop...her inspiration comes from both the runway and the countryside...her favourite designer is alberta ferretti and prides herself on constantly sourcing out new and exciting companies and designers to excite herself and her costumers..she's a true visionary in our small town , and one we fashion fans are grateful to have..
