i am deeply saddened to hear of the death of blake edwards last thursday, december 16th...edwards directed, wrote and produced many great films including ' breakfast at tiffany''s and 'the pink panther' and was much respected both professionally and personally (he married julie andrews 41 years ago)..breakfast at tiffany's is my favourite film and, coincidentally, i had watched it the night before he passed away...edwards managed to capture the beauty of a city, magic of a great story and chemistry and allure of two people in a way that still resonates with audiences today...every frame is a beautiful, colourful and meaured picture epitomising a style and elegance which i treasure each time i watch it...i admire edwards' vision with which he created a timeless classic and through it he will never be forgotten...
